In a social atmosphere with great food and drinks, non-profit organizations their missions and encourage attendees to engage in a deeper way as a volunteer, as a committee member, or even serve as a board member to make our region a better place for everyone. It’s a fun networking event with a heart for service.

IVBTC Charity Challenge Golf Outing

 

Please join us at Spring Creek Golf Course in Spring Valley for a day of golf, lunch, refreshments, raffles and door prizes as we raise money for CASA.


We will register golfers beginning at 9AM with T-off scheduled for 10AM.  It will be scramble/best ball format.  Golf is $125 per participant and that includes 18 holes, cart, lunch and refreshments.


You will also have an opportunity to buy a raffle bag for $25 where you will have many chances to win an assortment of raffle items and a "patio party" package worth well over $1000.

LASALLE COUNTY JUVENILE JUSTICE SEMINAR

DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN HERE! -Deadline approaching. Sign up now. This is an insightful, first-hand understanding of the Columbine High School shootings and the impact on school safety and first responder practices, and post-incident trauma-informed counseling for students and community. Every LaSalle County School Board and administration, police/SRO department, School and agency trauma counseling services, Hospital and E.R staff, should have representatives attending this presentation.  It could save lives!  6 hour CEUs available: LCSW and PD Hours (R.O.E.) 


Frank DeAngelis, retired principal from Columbine, CO High School will tell his story of the Columbine Tragedy from the events through the aftermath.  This presentation will reflect on current threats and trends that could affect schools safety, along with lessons learned from school shootings incidents.  


Mia Ray Langheim, School Intelligence Officer, Statewide Terrorism & Intelligence Center, Illinois State Police, Western Illinois University .  Improving School Safety through Lessons Learned and Prevention Techniques from the Free School Safety Information Sharing Program. During this presentation, there will also be an opportunity to learn about the free School Safety Information Sharing Program which aids in safety through information sharing from local, state, and federal agencies with Illinois schools.  


This event is open to the public.  The cost is $40 per person, $25 per IVCC student.
