2017 State Conference
Every few months, our Executive Director, Cici Chalus takes active advocates out to either a lunch or dinner to check in on progress and answer any questions that may need answering. This is also how the advocates are shown gratitude for everything they do for the youth in LaSalle County.
CASA's chocolate sampling festival event began in 2008. It is our major fundraiser and typically boasts 20 -25 vendors each featuring their signature chocolate specialties. Children enjoy cookie decorating, face painting and having their pictures taken with various costumed chocolates.
On October 24, 2016, CASA and Streator Area United Way hosted a Cope 24 Event called "Changing Our Parenting Experience" with speaker Renee Howitt.
At the end of every advocate training course, the advocates are sworn-in to the court by Judge Raccuglia. Afterwards, the new advocates are given the chance to observe juvenile court for the completion of the course.

Each year, Illinois CASA has a conference for all of the CASA programs to attend. At this conference, the advocates and staff members are introduced to new information that will aid them in achieving our mission to be the voice of a child.
